KZN Flooding

During the devastating April 2022 floods in KwaZulu Natal, Sewa International swiftly responded by distributing essential drinking water worth R480,000 to the hardest-hit areas. Our relief efforts included:

  • 12,936 bottles of 5 liters each
  • 19,008 bottles of 1.5 liters each
  • 13 rainwater harvesting tanks of 5,000 liters each

In the June 2023 torrential rains, we assisted stranded individuals by providing shelter and distributing aid the next day. Our relief included:

  • 2,550 cooked meals
  • 200 blankets
  • 350 grocery hampers
